Hillingdon Reserves
As part of the Conservation Land Team we are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of over 40 nature reserves around London. As part of our commitment to the HLS and Natural England we have an exciting programme of works beginning this Autumn in Hillingdon at Huckerbys Meadow, Gutteridge Wood, Ten Acre Wood, Ickenham Marsh, Frays Farm Meadows & Denham Lock Wood.. The targets we need to achieve include meadow restoration, scrub clearance, installing large amounts of stock fencing, wooden field gates and kissing gates, tree works and the maintenance of boardwalks, bridges and paths. This is an excellent opportunity to add essential practical skills to any Countryside, Forestry & Arboriculture course or studies or an opportunity to learn new skills.
Travel: We are based at Camley Street Natural Park (near kings Cross station) and can provide transport to the site as well as tools and some PPE. We usually work Monday-Friday, leaving at 8am normally returning to Camley by 4pm.
